Grease is a 1978 film directed by Randal Kleiser and based on Jim Jacobs' and Warren Casey's musical, Grease. The film stars John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, Stockard Channing, Jeff Conaway, and Eve Arden.

Sha-Na-Na
Sha Na Na is a rock and roll revival act. Announcing themselves as "from the streets of New York," and outfitted in gold lamΓ©, leather jackets, and pompadour hairdos, Sha Na Na performed a song and dance repertoire of classic fifties rock' n' roll, simultaneously reviving and sending up the music and 1950s New York street culture.
Their current touring group features original members Donny York, and Jocko Marcellino, and another member from the TV show who had joined just after Woodstock, Screamin' Scott Simon. Everyone else from the TV show has left the group, and been replaced by bass singer Reggie Battise, bass player Jim Waldbillig, guitarist Gene Jaramillo, drummer Paul Kimbarow, and sax player Michael Brown.

Cindy Bullens
Cindy Bullens is an American singer and songwriter who grew up in Massachusetts. She released two albums in the late 1970s on United Artists and Casablanca and several others beginning in 1989. Her 1978 debut album, Desire Wire is described flatly by William Ruhlmann in allmusic as: "One of the great lost rock albums of the '70s, Bullens' debut release is full of tough, passionate, incredibly catchy rock & roll played to the hilt and sung with fire". Her early albums anticipated later work by a host of 1980's female and female-identified rock artists, from Pat Benatar, to Blondie, to the Go-Go's, to Headpins.
She provided vocals on three songs ("It's Raining on Prom Night", "Mooning", and "Freddy, My Love") on the soundtrack of the 1978 feature film, Grease. Her performance on the soundtrack earned her a Grammy Award nomination for best rock vocal performance.

John Travolta

He first became known in the 1970s, after appearing on the television series Welcome Back, Kotter and starring in the box office successes Saturday Night Fever and Grease. Travolta's career re-surged in the 1990s, with his role in Pulp Fiction, and he has since continued starring in Hollywood films, including Face/Off, Ladder 49 and Wild Hogs.
